After many years of buying plants from Home Depot (and killing bunch of them) we decided to go to couple of nurseries in the valley to buy some desert plants for couple of locations in the pavers patio. One nursery had chickens running around, the other had peacocks. We made our purchases from the peacock place. We bought and planted Lantana (small orange/red or purple flowers), Salvia (small reddish flowers), Hibiscus (no flowers yet) and an unexpected plant. We had intended on getting a Mexican Red Bird of Paradise, but no one had them so, now we have a Pineapple Guava (Acca sellowiana). It has really neat flowers.
