On the west side we've widened the patio paver walkway and moved it farther from the house, switched from painted pavers to a mix of "aged red" and adobe colored pave stones...
And now on the east side the hole is filled with sand and we've relaid some irrigation piping. (See anything else?)
Plus a small retaining wall to corral the excess dirt from the excavation. Lulu was, however, not so easily corralled.
