I heard some unfamiliar pitter-patter on the roof. Lo and behold it was raining for the first time in a couple of months at least. It didn't last long but we got 0.1 inches according to the rain gauge. That might be considered a trace in most places, but when you only get 7 inches a year, you need to count the little rains. Maybe this means the monsoons are coming - it's about that time of year and we need the ensuing cool-down. It's still 100F at 10pm.
